Terms & Conditions

We don’t like to make things unnecessarily complicated.  Here’s a plain English explanation of our terms & conditions of service.


Opal UK will provide bookkeeping services to the client.  These services will be detailed in writing.


Fees for these services are calculated on the time we spend multiplied by the hourly rate. The hourly rate is applied to all work done on company’s behalf, including making telephone calls, writing letters, researching the laws, negotiating with partners and preparing documents. The hourly rates for these service will be agreed in advance with the client, and confirmed in writing.


We will invoice at the end of each month for work carried out during that month.  Our invoice will detail the work carried out, including the time spent on specific tasks.

Any queries or disputes relating to an invoice must be raised within 7 days of receipt.  Invoices must be settled within 14 days of invoice date.


Non-payment of invoices within 30 days of the invoice date will result in the suspension of all services.


We would be pleased to provide an itemised written estimate for the provision of our services.


A client may terminate the agreement by providing a written notice at any time but will be liable for all work carried out up to that time, whether already invoiced or not.

Opal may terminate the agreement and stop acting for the Company if:

  1. The client does not comply with the terms of this Agreement;
  2. Their is a breakdown in mutual trust between the parties;
  3. By continuing to act for the client, it may breach the professional conduct rules which are binding upon professionals in the Bookkeeping industry.
